Amish Furniture
The Amish are known for their industrious nature and the pride they take in their work. Their Christian faith and family are the most important aspects of their lives. While very warm and friendly to varying degrees they seek to limit their involvement with modern day culture.

A Team of Specialists
Gary Lowe, Genesis Designs, LLC and Philip Yoder, Belfield Furniture corroborate with several independent Amish furniture makers in the Holmes County area. The team incorporates respective areas of specialization from the moment of design inspiration through the crafting, finishing, and boxing of the expanding collection of case goods, dining tables, chairs and beds.

21 Step Finish Process
Belfield Furniture specializes in the crafting of dressers and armoires, plus finishes all the pieces using a 21 step process which results in an unprecedented rich and satiny finish. Rubin, Philip's eldest son oversees this final process. Belfield also custom boxes each piece for shipping to ensure safe delivery.

Environmentally Conscious
While the Amish do not describe themselves as environmentalists their values and lifestyles are at a standard of even the most environmentally conscious. Several use solar, wind, and hydraulic power. Philip even has a man who removes his saw dust and chips for use in stall bedding.

The result is beautifully designed, wonderfully handcrafted furniture created in an eco-friendly fashion right here in America’s heartland.
