Inspired Design
Visit the Mountain Magnolia Inn and you will be taken by the beauty of this 1868 estate which was the home of Colonel James Rumbough and his wife Carrie, owners of the 350 room Mountain Park Hotel
in what was then Warm Springs , North Carolina .

The beauty and craftsmanship of the home, it’s woodwork, decorative plaster and selected original furnishings struck Gary Lowe, designer of the Mountain Magnolia Collection. In addition, Gary found inspiration in our 100 year old general store, the Garden House and Karen’s stone Irish style cottage.

Eclectic and Timeless
This inspiration led Gary to create the Collection . In it he sought to create furniture which captured the  feel and spirit of the Inn- elegant yet very relaxed, aesthetically pleasing but very functional, eclectic and capable of residing in a variety of settings.

Attention to Detail
There is incredible attention to detail in every piece  For example, one of the features of the Inn that Gary loves is the silver plate over brass interior door hardware, which as it wears, shows a hint of brass out from under the silver - it really is handsome. Gary had that created for the pulls on the armoire and small chest .

Heirloom Quality
To create the quality Gary sought for the Collection, selection of the craftsmen was essential. Working very closely with Philip Yoder to perfect every aspect of the Collection from selecting, handcrafting, and finishing the wood, to packaging and shipping.

Gary has created what we believe is functional furniture of not only unparalleled heirloom quality, but having future museum appeal.
